One of the major complaints about traditional 5th Wheel Hitches is that, unless you are parked perfectly level, it is very difficult to hook up or unhook a trailer. We addressed that problem in several ways. First, our locking jaws were built so that once you've unlatched the handle, the jaws will release your trailer, no questions asked. (And no hammers required!) Even though the jaws may not 'look' open, they will open as you pull away. Secondly, our built-in shock absorbers allow the coupler to flex side-to-side to allow for uneven ground you may be parked on.
